saving, extending and upgrading a circa 1930’s home...
A 1930's that many neighbors and interested onlookers thought had no chance of being saved due to its’ poor layout and mish mash previous alterations which meant it would be demolished. The general consensus was that despite the excellent condition of the home, nothing could be done with such a poor layout and location on the land.
We surprised everyone when we designed and reworked the existing structure and combined it with a home extension/additional structure into a large open plan 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom plus study on a sloping block of land.
The entire layout was reworked in the renovation and extension and the location of rooms changed to allow for modern requirements while retaining the original character.
