A major rework of existing home.
The existing home was a mish mash of previous extensions and additions that did not work or add value to the home.
Externally, the yard was dominated by a large tiered garden bed that eliminated space and functionality.
In order to rectify the layout and create a functional home, a major renovation of this inner city home was performed. Rooms were relocated including converting the dining room and lounge to a master bedroom, walk in closet with his and hers attached bathroom, and another bedroom.
The small rooms to the rear were removed from the ground floor and a new kitchen installed in an open plan main living area
The smaller bedrooms were gutted and walls removed to create a dedicated home cinema.
Floor level variations between what was an original granny flat and the main home were rectified by cutting out and replacing the entire floor to the new open plan area.
The stair case was relocated and a floating structure became a feature to the main entrance.
The tiered garden bed was removed and a lap pool and cabana installed in it's place, whilst also creating yard space.
